Casting Call: Volunteer to help with Red Carpet Gala
CASTING CALL: The Friends of the Jane Pickens is looking for 10 -12 volunteers to help with this years Academy Awards, Red Carpet event.
The event takes place on Sunday, February 26. We need volunteers for ticket sales and check in, food table set up and clean up as well as bar staff ( must be tips certified ). The event begins at 7p and volunteers will be required to arrive at 6p or 6:30p depending on your responsibility. The awards ceremony which begins at 8:30 and volunteers would be welcome to stay upon completion of their responsibilites and partake of the evenings festivities. Van Johnson Stamp Campaign
Hi! Jane Pickens Theatre,
We believe you will be pleased to know
that one of the "stars" of the movie you
showed on Van Johnson Day, August 25, 2011,
has signed on to the Stamp Campaign, Her
name? You guessed....Liza Minnelli.
Of course, she was only 2 and a half
when she appeared in "In The Good Old
Summertime" with Van and her real mother
Judy Garland, but she knew Van from that
early age, and rode around on his shoulders
during the filming of the movie. She and her
mother both were exceedingly fond of Van
Johnson, and kept in touch with him through
the years.
Liza Minnelli appears at the top of our
support list on vanjohnsonstamp.org.
